| The Tangshan Municipal People’s Government of Hebei Province held a press conference at the State Council Information Office on Oct. 11 to declare that the first Caofeidian Forum TV cable supplier will be held from Oct. 15 to 17 at Caofeidian located in Bohai Sea Gulf, when over 660 guests including many politicians, mayors, experts and scholars home and abroad shall be present. Chen Guoying, the Mayor of Tangshan introduced that Caofeidian, located in the coastal area in south Tangshan, was a desolate sand land of less than 4 sq. km 6 years ago; however, with the strong support of the Central Government, it has been going through great changes to become a coaxial cable state-level circular economy demonstration area, a scientific development sample area, which has drew great attention of the world. In recent years, more than 40 party and state leaders have paid inspection visits to Caofeidian, and over 60 thousand enterprises and corporations including a number of world Top 500 corporations have made business visits to Caofeidian as well. Chen Guoying hopes that the Caofeidian Forum can make the world realize that China is undergoing scientific and sustainable development; Caofeidian, a heavy industry oriented area, is on its road for resource-economy, environment-friendly and innovation-driven development. |
