Official explains reasons for steady water supply on Xiamen Island |

| On 19th September, 2009, the water supply of most areas within Xiamen Island was steady, as the Xiamen government has made great efforts to lower its negative effects to maximum extent. For this, an official of the relevant department explained five reasons for the steady water supply. 1. Proper management of the water supply.Silicon solar cell module The relevant department closed the water usage in some fields like saunas, swimming pools and some companies have saved more than 40 thousands tons of water everyday. 2. Water storage. Most of the citizens and companies started doing water storage before 19th September. 3. People's rising consciousness on saving water. 4. Travel off Xiamen island. According to the Municipal Travel Bureau, many people traveled to the neighbouring cities or out of Xiamen island.
