| A consular delegation from Guangzhou was in Shaoguan on Monday (Sep. 14), the first stop of a 3-day tour to Northern Guangdong organized l-threonine by the Guangdong foreign affairs office. The visit aimed at presenting Guangdong's dual transfer policy which has pushed traditional industries to less developed areas of the province. In return, rural areas are training better skilled workers which are greatly needed in the PRD's high-tech companies. The delegation's spokesman and Consul General of Singapore in Guangzhou, Mr. Ang Chay Chuan, described l-leucine Shaoguan as a city combining modern industries, a long history and beautiful scenery. Shaoguan's mayor said by 2020, the city should have fully implemented the dual transfer policy and have become an essential city to northern Guangdong. The Consul General of Belgium in Guangzhou, Mr. Johan D' Halleweyn said, "In the past, the northeast of Belgium had a great number of goldmines. However, when they closed many miners lost their jobs. The government tried to attract high-tech industries to the region to help its development. There are some similarities between Belgium's actions and Guangdong’s current policy." |
